This tour will show you all of the highlights that Puerto Vallarta has to offer. You’ll start off at one of the best known traditional local taco stands where  you will try the traditional Mexican breakfast  (No, it’s not Huevos Rancheros).  Carnitas (marinated slow cooked pork), served on a hand-made fresh off the grill corn tortilla will be served from one of the most well established eateries in PV.  This treat will melt in your mouth.

El CAMION – LOCAL BUS SYSTEM

After your delicious breakfast, you’ll experience the most used form of transportation system for locals in Puerto Vallarta (El Camion). Your guide will give you expert advice on how to use el camion and you will find later in your vacation you can save many pesos in taxi fares using it.  You’ll take a 5-10 minute journey on el camion into the heart of charming colonial Downtown (El Centro) Puerto Vallarta.

MALECÓN – ART, SHOPPING, SEASIDE

After departing the bus, you’ll take a leisurely walking journey along the famous Malecón(Boardwalk) along the seaside.  You’ll learn some of the history of this historic Mexican town, especially popular for its collection of contemporary art sculptures and its wide range of vendors, stores, restaurants and wares.  After departing the Malecón you will visit the celebrated “Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe” followed by passing through the City Flea Market.

OLD TOWN – MARKETS, CULTURE, PALETAS & BEACH

Next you’ll cross the River Cuale on one of Vallartas’ famous swinging bridges and take a stroll into what is known as Old-Town Vallarta.  Here you will discover quaint markets, a tortilla factory and array of street food vendors.  Your guide will treat you to a Mexican sweet tooth favorite, “Paletas” also known as Mexican Ice-cream.  While enjoying your refreshing treat we will head toward the wonderful beaches of Los Arcos & Los Muertos where you’ll be able to kick back and take in the sea-breeze at the end of the tour.
